|
Prince Albert, Duke of Edinburgh visited Milang on 16th November 1867 on the way to Meningie and returned on the 23rd. On both occasions the local riflemen formed a guard of honour and a royal salute was fired from a cannon which still stands in Memorial Park. The Duke planted a willow slip to commemorate the occasion which has grown into the present tree. |
